Chuck Close Self Portraits
Intro to art (9th Grade). Inspired by artist Chuck Close. Students learn about Contemporary art, and create a self portrait from a grid, using colored pencils with tints and shades. Adaptable for all for all forms of portraiture.
Character Portraits
Advanced students. They painted a portrait of someone they know with their character in mind. Had to challenge themselves in someway with media, background or technique.
